Here it is a melancholy bridge, one
of cheap timbers & concrete, with
all that behind you, all that which
will be ruins at least of interest when
what you are walking on is air.

You walk into the valley of where history was & is ruin:
mostly earth embanked & a few shattered timber baulks.
Water runs through perpetually, to rot
the dust into life. Nature's green scars are on us
virid, vivid.
