FROM A BREVIARY.

Shunday: excommunicants gather at the river, say it's pay-back time
for their redemption: a chaotic opacity in microscopic rewind:
good blood thrown after bad. Maundy's prayers are full of carelessness:
its twists put idolators on hold: the random pattern – as before.
Chooseday's held over: a hymn to the never-ending sale: credit stretched
maximally: thinning on top. When's-the-day's a lamentation: a silent
memorial for half-day closing: unaccounted time. There's-a-day without wrath:
without mirth: unaffected: a flat-earth day: dissolution of monasteries:
enclosure of common lands. pHriday: service the shareholders: neutralize
stocks' stains: launder the money: drown the people in acid: Selah.
Shatterday: cristallnacht: Shabbat in shards: the day Lucifer wrested
light from G–d: all this, he said, all you can see, demoting eye to a greed
reflex: immaculate foreclosure.
