Parts of language may be hazy, insecure
As screen memory, or
The foggy discourses of winter ditches
Gridding out the valley, brief
And uncanny

Folding in
With a catastrophic mix
That then freezes
Darker fluids well up beneath
Vanish the next day

Any traces worn down
Healed
Loss of memory total, sealed
Smooth dark
Absolute and moonless
